Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Kasamusa (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects information about you when you use our AI-powered conversational entertainment platform (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here and to our Terms of Service.

Kasamusa is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

1. Information We Collect

Account data. Name, email, password hash, profile photo, authentication provider (e.g. Google), and preferences.

Conversation data. Prompts you send, AI-generated responses, chosen characters, memory notes, favourites, ratings and related timestamps. Voice chats may include audio recordings and transcripts.

Payment data. Order history, purchased packs and payment metadata. Card and bank details are handled directly by our payment processor (Razorpay) and are not stored on our servers.

Device & usage data. IP address, device type, browser, operating system, language, referring URLs, feature usage, crash logs and diagnostic events.

Cookies & similar technologies. Used to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure product usage.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, personalize and improve the Service.
• Generate AI responses and maintain conversation memory.
• Process one-time payments for messages, images and voice top-ups.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, spam and security incidents.
• Communicate service updates, security alerts and support replies.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your private chats to train foundation models without your explicit consent.

3. AI Processing & Third-Party Providers

To generate replies, your prompts and relevant conversation context are sent to third-party AI providers (xAI Grok for chat and image generation, and Google Gemini for voice transcription and speech) under their processing terms. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Auth, database and storage are hosted on Supabase infrastructure. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms and appropriate safeguards.

4. Data Sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, AI inference, analytics, payments, email, customer support), bound by contract to protect your data;
• Law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process or to protect rights, safety or property;
• Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. You may delete individual conversations from the app at any time. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except records we must retain for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage, role-based access control, row-level security on our database and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, update or delete personal data;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• Port your data to another service;
• Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and India. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Children

The Service is for adults aged 18+. If we learn that a minor has provided personal data, we will delete it. Contact us if you believe a minor has used the Service.

10. Sensitive Content Warning

Conversations may contain mature, flirty or fictional adult themes. Do not share highly sensitive information (government IDs, health records, financial credentials, passwords, others’ personal data) with the AI. We may store the content of your chats to operate the Service; treat every message as potentially retained.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or email. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
